Jessica was a graduate student in Linguistics.  She was burdened by debt and bored by politics and current events.  She loved to dance and juggled several boyfriends.  Recently two of her boyfriends had become importune, demanding she make a decision and commitment.  She felt trapped and limited in her freedom.

So, she was interested when the corporate recruiter visiting the campus offered her an interesting position in a foreign country. The man was very reticent about which country and what position, but said he was certain she was very suited to the position he had in mind.  Jessica was extremely flattered by the attention the man paid her; he took her to dinner twice and showed exquisite manners.  Jessica commented on that, and he shrugged, saying courtesy was due to all free women.  Jessica thought it was an odd thing to say, but his accent was so strange and captivating she passed over it.

He took her to dinner a third time and invited her to come with him for a drink. Already a little drunk, she gulped down the contents of the glass greedily. Jessica had an impulsive personality and was a little inclined to grasp at whatever she wanted.

She awoke to find that the recruiter was on a voyage of acquisition, the position was on her knees as a slave, and the new land was Gor.

Jessica was with a group of about fifty other women, all naked, all beautiful, all kneeling in a grove of trees.  She had to accept that she was in strange place, a new world, as the group was surrounded by men riding on giant lizards. A girl next to her, fainted as a giant bird swept down and landed, a man leaping off its back.  The bird, clearly a carnivore had to be restrained from seizing one of the girls in the circle.

Branded and collared, she would be a prized kajira, labouring by day, and giving pleasure by night.
